When and Where: March 5th, 2:00 – 4:00pm.  Attend Caucus at the Site associated with your Precinct. You can find this information HERE.

Covid Protocols: Wearing Masks will be required at all times. You will need to show proof of vaccination, a PCR test within 48 hours, or a letter from your doctor stating you tested positive in the last 90 days.

Who can attend:

  1. You must be a permanent resident of Adams County for a minimum of 22 days.
  2. You must be a registered Democrat.
  3. 16 and 17 year-olds who are pre-registered as Democrats are welcome to participate in Caucus and Assemblies

What happens at your Caucus:

  1. Registration and Seating

You’ll find your precinct registration table and check in. Precincts may have seating areas / tables, but the opening of the caucus will be a combined session for all precincts.

  1. Opening, Rules, and Agenda

Your House District Captain will open the meeting, review the caucus rules and agenda.

  1. Candidate Statements

Candidates going through the caucus process may attend your caucus or send representatives. Each candidate / surrogate will be given 3 minutes to address the caucus.

(Note: Candidates can get on the primary ballot by 1). going through the Caucus process or by 2. submitting a petition. You will not hear statements from potential petition candidates at Caucus,)

  1. Break out into Precinct working groups

The district will physically separate by precinct to enable voting. Your precinct will have an envelope with needed documents, labeled to show numbers of delegates required. You will elect a chair and secretary to guide and record your breakout session.

  1. Precinct Voting and Signups

From among your Precinct group, you will elect delegates / alternates for the county assembly, the state assembly, the house and senate assemblies if the district is not completely in Adams County.   At the Assemblies, delegates will vote for candidates to be put on the Democratic primary ballot.

  1. Precinct roles in the 2022 campaign and election

You will elect 2 Precinct Organizaers  who will facilitate 2022 Democratic campaigning activities in your precinct. Sign-ups for election Judges for the 2022 primary and general election will be available. Your precinct can also submit resolutions to be considered for the Democratic Party platform.
